I was born in Long Beach, CA and grew up in south orange county. I graduated from Trabuco Hills High School and graduated college from University of Arizona. I came back to southern California and have been a resident ever since.
My careers since college have always been in sales.
I started in Telecommunications, worked in automotive, and most recently in the petroleum industry. In the 20 plus years in sales I learned a few things. I learned that I really love talking with people, solving problems and seeing the clients I served satisfied with the end results. I also learned that I am not made of the “corporate” material. I want to do what is right for the client and not just what will make the company more money. I was getting more and more jaded by the never-ending rat race of the business world and wanted to find something that made me happy.
So my self-exploration of what that meant to me started. I started with a list of all the things I love to do…mountain biking (comes from my days of dirt bike riding throughout Mexico), being outdoors and camping (which comes from being an Eagle Scout), cooking, and animals. I started to look into professions that incorporated some of my life’s loves. In doing so, I came across a perfect mix of people and dogs. Mobile Grooming.
I enrolled in John Paul Pet Grooming School, and started on the road to create a dream job for myself. About 6 months later, I researched the mobile grooming vans, registered for my business license, and kicked off my first business…Dog Gone Clean!
I am excited to share my love of dogs with the community I grew up in and do something that I can be proud of every day.
My committed dedication to strive for my clients’ satisfaction is still strong in my work ethic and I looking forward to becoming your preferred groomer and friend in the very near future.
